Dutch star DJ Tiësto collaborates with Maisy Kay on an official remix for KARMA

Tiësto has entered into a great collaboration with rising pop star Maisy Kay. The Dutch DJ has returned with an official remix using the singer’s amazing vocals, using the basic elements of ‘Karma is a Bitch Like You’. The edit is now available on most music streaming services as “KARMA (Tiësto Version)”.

Maisy Kay released “Karma Is a Bitch Like You” in 2022, and it has already crossed hundreds of thousands of listens. While it wasn’t the most popular song for the up-and-coming singer, it was just enough to pique the interest of Dutch DJ/producer Tiësto. The song, as the name suggests, is about karma, the belief that if something bad is done to us, it will come back to the person who did it – the well-known cause and effect relationship. In fact, the lyrics delve a little deeper, exploring the betrayal of someone we trusted the most. The UK-born but Los Angeles-based Maisy has also released an official music video with vampire scenes to illustrate her feelings alongside the pop-rock beats.

“When I originally created ‘Karma Is A Bitch Like You’ I was feeling so many emotions trying to put into words how karma comes back around when you don’t treat people with respect. With this new remix with Tiësto, I wanted that feeling to continue to pull through, but with a fun, dance-worthy twist to it.”, said Maisy Kay about the collaboration.

Tiësto’s official edit provides a truly club-friendly approach to the original track. Built on the musical foundation of “Karma is a Bitch Like You”, it manages to create an upbeat track that will stand up nicely in the dance music scene. That’s not a doubt, as the lyrics, written by Maisy Kay, still come through nicely, and her uplifting vocals are not to be forgotten. Tiësto first premiered the remix on his own radio show, the weekly Club Life, back in January 2024 as the intro to episode 877. Interestingly, Alana Springsteen was Tiësto’s most recent collaborator on the track “Hot Honey”, which has a soulful country tone.
