As 2026 begins, the creative legacy of Tim “Avicii” Bergling continues to unfold.

The third and final episode of Stories on Stories — produced in collaboration between Pophouse and the Avicii Estate – premieres on YouTube on January 1, 2026, bringing the 10-year anniversary journey of Stories to a powerful close.

Titled “The Lost Tapes,” the finale compiles rare studio material, demo arrangements, and unseen footage from several key tracks. Moreover, the episode highlights early creative explorations around songs that later became defining moments on the album – including ‘Broken Arrows,’ ‘Ten More Days,’ ‘Pure Grinding,’ and ‘Can’t Catch Me.’

The episode opens with intimate writing sessions between Avicii and Wyclef Jean, where melodies and lyrics evolve in real time. Since Wyclef co-wrote and performed ‘Can’t Catch Me’, these clips reveal how collaboration shaped the sound and emotion of Stories. From studio setups in Los Angeles to makeshift home production spaces while on tour, the footage captures Tim’s constant creative motion and relentless musical curiosity.

As the journey reaches its emotional peak, the episode closes with a collage of live footage, fan-captured memories, and screenshots from Avicii’s original Stories-era social posts — offering personal reflections on songs that meant the most to him.

A surprise return: The Stories Megamix

One day before the finale, fans also receive an unexpected gift. The long-lost Stories Megamix returns to YouTube, now re-released as a visualizer for the first time since 2015.

Originally created as a 16-minute DJ-style preview mix through all 14 album tracks, the megamix captures the excitement and narrative arc that defined Stories. Since it disappeared from streaming platforms after the album launch, its comeback marks a nostalgic — and emotionally meaningful — moment for longtime fans.

Meanwhile, earlier episodes “The Making of For A Better Day” and “The Details Matter” remain available on YouTube, completing one of the most personal archival projects ever released around Avicii’s artistry.
